Laurie Algar Adams is a gifted and wonderful storyteller leaving her audiences charmed and wanting much more! I first met Laurie at an industry event where she shared her childhood memories of traveling with her Dad, James Algar, film director, producer and screen writer for Walt Disney. I was mesmerized. Her ability to share her heartfelt memories touched me deeply as they were genuine and human. I took a moment to look around at the others in the room and they were as equally spellbound. Her compassion and subtle humor reached into our hearts and magically captivated us all with stories we were somewhat familiar with, but, now, we felt embraced; as if we were now welcomed as a member into Laurie’s own family. I hope, someday soon, to hear Laurie speak again. Her treasure-trove of knowledge is fantastic! Her travels from the world-over, along with her unique artistic talent and sensibilities, truly weave tales of wonder and delight. I feel so lucky to have met Laurie and to have shared in such a special opportunity. I truly hope to hear her again.

We welcomed Guest Speaker Laurie Algar to our Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet event In October 2019 to a theater full of eager Disney Fans from all over the Pacific Northwest. Laurie’s presentation about her father, Disney Legend James Algar, did not disappoint. Laurie shared so many stories, delightful photos, videos and more, many that we had not yet seen. A wonderful and entertaining presentation that had our audience laughing, smiling, enjoying and loving all the history, connections to Walt, and the amazing career her father had with Disney.

The Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet has been thrilled to host Laurie for this event and we look forward to more in the future.

This lady is a fine storyteller in her own right! She's arranged hundreds of precious documents with the kind of care I know is demanded to present a true story in context over four historic decades.

I can verify she is tremendous. I met this soft-spoken lady last night @ the Hilbert Art Museum @ Chapman Univ. where she gave her talk with visuals (in slides +action footage).

Many young students attended. They were mesmerized, learning details she showed and described.
